From the book jacket:

Tap into the far-reaching potential of InDesign styles. From simple drop cap formatting to cross-media export to XHTML, styles have the power to transform how design and production professionals approach and accomplish any project, large or small. Adopting a style-centric workflow can reduce tasks that would normally take days to mere hours, and tasks that would take hours to minutes or even seconds. Less time spent on repetitive tasks means more time creating your best work. This book is for working graphic designers, art directors and production artists who want to boost their productivity, streamline their workflow, and maximize their design flexibility through a deeper understanding of styles.

Author Michael Murphy explores styles in InDesign CS4 using common sense language and real-world examples. He goes deep under the hood to explore the application-wide power of styles, starting with the simplest concepts and building up to the most intricate—and time saving—features. Michael reveals the secrets of styles step by step, offering best practices and practical advice along the way. Each chapter includes quick tips and detailed illustrations that bring the concepts to life.
